Safety

Recreational running is a privilege that comes with good health.

Salish Running is always going to prioritize safety in all our running activities. There are some baseline rules that will be kindly enforced:

  • It is risky to be deep into a jam session or a true crime podcast with bikes, strollers and dogs on the shared sidewalks and trails.

  • It is your responsibility to carry your own bottle for your hydration. Salish Running will NEVER provide single use cups; it’s a waste of natural resources, money, and space in a landfill.

  • If you are injured, have some type of illness or other ailment you’ll consider whether you should skip a Group Run.

  • If our runs are occurring in the dark, headlamps will be required, and reflective gear encouraged. There is an expectation of appropriate running attire for the conditions. Running plans might be modified or canceled based on weather events (high winds, lightning and high heat, etc).
